Home Again...
So the semester is done and I am home once again. The few days of "bumming" around the house with a glazed-over look, trying to recoup from the torrent of finals is over, and I am ready to tackle my first project-cleaning and organizing my studio. Though I haven't heavily used my studio since May, due to a summer internship, the two projects I did complete (reupholstering a Victorian settee and restoring an Edwardian china cabinet) left behind a mess of fabric scraps, broken glass, and scraping tools. So, here I am, in work clothes, mentally preparing myself to tackle this first project that will lead to all my other projects. Hopefully I will be done by this evening and will be able to begin sanding a vintage chair in preparation for staining. Will post pictures soon!

Here we go...
So after blogging for a year as The Student Wanderer while living in Spain and sharing my adventures around Europe, I am now on to a new venture and blog-Charles Street. Named after my favorite street in all of Boston, Charles Street will be an avenue to share all of my adventures, whether it's designing, painting, or traveling. As the Christmas season is beginning for me and finals are almost over, I now have time to start all of the projects that have been piling-up in a disorganized mess while I focused on studying. So many ideas have yet to come to fruition from the pieces I bought while tag-sailing this past summer and from thrift shopping this fall and winter. I plan on blogging at least twice a week and will start by showing a few of my favorite projects done over the past summer, and will begin to share my many ideas for new ones. So come with me, and take a walk down Charles Street…
